The year is flying by, and we’re excited to see the development of the many incredible projects the team has on the go, especially Astor Hotel Goulburn and Cosmopolitan Hotel, as well as the completion of Grand Hotel Portarlington, We are also eagerly awaiting the completion of All Saints in Wahgunyah, as we’re sure the success of Bonnie Eatery will flow on to the rest of the winery’s other hospitality areas.
We’re looking forward to a productive run to Christmas.

+ Project Update: Astor Goulburn
Introducing the re-design of the Astor Hotel in Goulburn, located north-east of Canberra in NSW.
This is our second Astor redevelopment with Pub Funds Investment. Our first in Albury was inspired by the bright aesthetic of Palm Springs. With Goulburn, we’ve aimed to create a destination centered around mid-century modern design with a nod towards the American BBQ culture, with industrial design elements seen in the robust, expressed structures and steel mechanisms that compliment the smoker.
We’re looking forward to this project starting up on site in 2023.

Following her 3 Year anniversary at Technē, we’re excited to announce Claire Mcguire has been promoted to Senior Project Architect!
Specialising in high-end bespoke residential homes, large hospitality projects, commercial and retail projects, Claire is recognised by clients and the team for producing designs that are environmentally responsive, functional and aspire to enhance human emotion.
After many highly involved projects with magnificent results, there is no doubt Claire has earnt this promotion, and we’re so happy to see her Techne career prosper!
+ Technē event: Celebrating our 20 Year Anniversary
Recently we held a fantastic event for our 20 Year Anniversary in the secret top floor cocktail bar known as The Ghost of Alfred Felton, Hotel Esplanade, St Kilda.
We were fortunate to have the company of many clients, the full Technē team, Technē alumni and many dear friends and family. It was a fun-filled night and we appreciated our first and long-standing client, Peter Bartholomew for speaking about our inception as a practice and continued project work to this day.
